It depends, 2024
The exhibition It depends at LAGE EGAL [IN THE RACK ROOM] presents the results of artist Marta Colombo’s ongoing exploration of materials, space, and scenographic processes. This selection of sculptures, photographs, and silkscreen prints reflects her artistic investigation into the diverse properties of materials — including everyday objects — in both analogue and digital spaces.
The artist explores geometric and clear structures as well as wild and free complexes while questioning her practice. What impact do the objects and materials around us have on our perception? How can we sharpen our sensitivity to space, composition, and matter? And how can we challenge the conventional use of materials and spatial arrangements?
