Perfect match, 2024
Sebastian Bartel, Bretz/Holliger, Marta Colombo, Dora Celentano, and Lara Fritsche are presenting their third collaborative exhibition project at Matjö – Raum für Kunst. As a group of artists working with diverse materials, techniques, and artistic approaches, they develop site-specific installations and spatial structures in their joint exhibitions. These spatial arrangements serve as a kind of setting in which individual artistic positions are presented.
The design and adaptation of the space is the primary and central element of their collaboration. Conventional materials and objects such as fences, tarps, roof battens, partition walls, or packing materials are arranged within the exhibition space, redefining it in a new way. The artworks of the participating artists act as conceptual and formal anchor points, while simultaneously connecting with the spatial intervention.
